The famous 17th-century letter writer Marie de Sévigné had her favourite country residence at the Château des Rochers-Sévigné, surrounded by fine French-style gardens. It makes an ideal point from which to explore and admire this land of manors and châteaux that the famous Marquess was so fond of.
