Markets

“I’m going to the market…” Two food markets in Vitré every week, with local produce for sale. Various themed markets are also organised by the town of Vitré throughout the year in the Place du Château, including a cloth market, a flavour and spice market, a plant market and so on.

• Monday market

  Traditional market held in the Place de la République featuring 25 itinerant traders.

  Please note: parking is prohibited in the Place de la République from 9 pm on Sundays to 3 pm on Mondays.

• “Panier du samedi” market

  Every Saturday in the Place du Marchix, the “Panier du Samedi” society holds a market featuring local traders and producers selling quality seasonal produce.

  The market holds regular musical events and tastings.

  Please note: parking is prohibited in the Place du Marchix from 6 am to 2 pm on Saturdays.
