Discover the local heritage
First floor of the Pavillon du Tourisme, Place du Général de Gaulle, tel. +33 (0)2 99 75 04 46. A permanent and interactive exhibition organised by the town of Vitré’s Heritage department, dedicated to the medieval town, its history and its architecture. Free entry.

In order to share Vitré’s rich heritage with as wide a public as possible, 15 bilingual information panels have been installed near the various sites. These information panels can be read freely and encourage readers to find out more by visiting the museums, the “Fenêtre sur la Ville” (Window to the Town) exhibition (free, open access at the Pavillon du Tourisme) and other exhibition spaces.
Accompanied by a guide, discover or rediscover the treasures of Vitré’s heritage through around thirty different themes.
